Opening with some proper Latin dance rhythms, complete with percussion and horn section urging you to sway your hips, this fourth QSO album promises to take you on a fun summer journey.

Okay, it’s not a wild excursion from their previous repertoire, and it’s not going to change the face of music, but this album is a wonderfully smooth offering that’s perfect for a little summer soundtrack.
 
Since their last long player, the band have obviously been honing their South American influences, throwing us their usual blend of soul and funk, typified on the first single ‘Panama City,’ but also a little Colombian Cumbia and a touch of blues too, plus a hip-hop affair featuring J-Live.

There’s enough Latin to make things sound slightly exotic and give the tunes that invitation to salsa along, but also enough grounding in funk to give each tune that real emphasis on the one, as James Brown would say, making the beats, well, funky.
 
Don’t expect to be blown away, just expect the melding of South America in to the Quantic formula to slowly, calmly, and smoothly work its ways into your hips or into your summer daydreams (of a street party in Puerto Rico perhaps?).

This album would make a worthy companion to your lazy summer evenings. Caipirinha anyone?
